Anyone in the world By Ronald Moody Landlocked arctic charr, also known as blueback trout, silver trout, sunapee trout and white trout, are listed as one of two freshwater species of special concern by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. These beautiful fish are seldom seen very far south in the warmer waters and as a result Maine and Alaska are the only regions in the US to have a native population of arctic charr. Landlocked arctic charr prefer a colder climate with a plentiful supply of oxygen, so it pays dividends to do a little research before heading out on your fishing trip. There are only around 20 lakes in Maine that contain landlocked arctic charr, and half of these have been artificially stocked to promote both the breeding of the species and to provide an extra special catch for the more determined anglers. During the spring and fall months, you can typically find landlocked arctic charr throughout the lake, though during the warmer summer months, the fish are restricted to the coldest, deepest parts of the lake. Popular spots for catching landlocked arctic charr in Maine include Moosehead Lake, the west branch of the Penobscot River and Rainbow Lake. Dont be surprised if you are expected to do a little trekking a number of the lakes in Maine still home to arctic charr are inaccessible by road. Your best method of catching landlocked arctic charr will depend on what time of year you are fishing. During the cooler spring and fall months, when the charr are found throughout the lake, fly-fishing and trolling the surface with lures can bring fantastic rewards. When the fish move deeper during the warmer summer months, much more success can be found using deeper lures or jigs. Following the near extinction of landlocked arctic charr in the region, it comes as little surprise that so few lakes and rivers still contain the species. However, through careful planning and protection by authorities, the population of landlocked arctic charr is now stable, allowing hundreds of anglers from across the country the rare chance to land these beautiful fish. Anyone in the world By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Carlo_Janee]Carlo Janee Style plays a unique role in the world of mobile phones. People go for those handsets which are high on performance and contain a bit of style statement in them. That is the reason mobile phone makers keep on unveiling different handsets in different form factors. Earlier we had candybars and clamshells, now we are getting some coolest sliders (candybars and clamshells are still there). And when it comes to sliders, Samsung is the definite winner. In the past few years, Samsung has unveiled some solid slider phones featuring a plethora of features. Other manufacturers like Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola have also brought eye catching slider phones into the market. These days, slider mobile phones are becoming extremely popular among the youngsters. The reason for that is clear and obvious. Almost all the slider mobile phones incorporate sophisticated features like high resolution display, high resolution camera, built-in music player, FM radio, Bluetooth wireless technology, GPRS, EDGE, USB, ample internal memory, memory expansion through memory card and so on. With the Samsung sliding mobile phones (not all of them) you will get two more features-TV output and document viewer (for viewing MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF). Nowadays, slider mobile phones can be purchased very easily on the Internet. There are several online mobile phone shops which offer value deals and schemes on the latest Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and Nokia slider mobile phones. Pay-as-you-go mobile phone deals, 12 months free line rental contract deals are some of the most popular mobile phone deals available online nowadays. Anyone in the world By Sally Taylor If you are like me, you never get enough of the hunt, whether on the search for rocks and gems, fossils, or treasure. Now that the cold, wet weather is putting a damper on outside searches for those in the north, it is prime time for indoor searches. After all, while you can, every once in a while, stumble upon a great place to hunt for treasure while just hoofing around in the wilderness, most productive treasure searches start inside. The first task in treasure hunting is to figure out where exactly it is that you want
to hunt. It's best to be realistic. You may have a dream to hunt in the South Sea
Islands, but if you have no means to get there you have much better ways to
spend hours and hours of research. Productive searching close to home may
just help you fund some of your dream searches. So to start, keep it close -- somewhere you will actually be able to spend some time searching. Once you
have your target area pinpointed, it's time to hit the history books and old
newspapers. The information you are seeking is about old boom towns, mining areas, battle
areas or routes, ghost towns (whether structures still stand or not), town areas
leveled by natural disasters and never rebuilt, pilgrim migration routes, and
anything else that can lead you to spots that were once inhabited or attacked,
and are now deserted. If you are on shorelines, you might also be interested in
information about pirate localities, sea battles, landing areas, old settelments,
and anything else that might point you to buried artifacts along a coastline, or
even in the water if you are into underwater search. Once you pinpoint the areas that look good to search you want to find out what is
on public land, and what is privately owned. The last thing anyone needs is
people roaming around private land without permission. Not only can this cause
trouble for you personally, but it can hinder all who want to search as mass
trespassing can lead to complaints that in turn lead to laws limiting searching for
everyone. City halls or a local branch of USGS will be able to provide you the
information about public and private lands, and will be likely to appreciate your
efforts to be respectful about searching. Chatting with people who have been
employed for long periods in these places can sometimes get you some bonus
leads, too, especially in less populated areas where people are more likely to
know in depth histories and legends from their areas. When you find information of interest, you will want to dig up any old pictures
you can find so you can get an idea of what was located where. Some
landmarks may still exist even if the town itself doesn't. County offices
sometimes have records of town layouts that will actually give you coordinants of
old buildings and other useful information.
Now that you have all the hard information resources you can dig up on battle
routes, massacre areas, stage coach robberies, settler camps, towns leveled in
natural disasters, and so on, it's time to start using your imagination. This
exercise just goes like this: Hmmm. They never located the relatives when the old guy that lived there died
- I wonder what he may have hid or lost around his place. Hmmm. There was a saloon located right there - I wonder where the outhouse
was. (A place where a lot of drunk men were taking their pants off might turn up
some quantity of nice pocket artifacts - especially old coins.) Hmmm. Look at that rock right behind that train wreck in this picture - I know
where that rock is. Hmmm. The Northern armies passed right through here in the civil war. I
wonder how many people buried money and valuables to hide them. I wonder
which of them never made it back to them. Now you get to draw yourself a few of your own maps to take with you when the
nice weather comes back around. These maps can be valuable all on their own. When your hunting season is over, you can add your stories about what you
found in the areas you have mapped and searched. By compiling these maps
and stories, you have created an archive which may be sold to other hunters, or
saved for future generations. 2005 Sally Taylor: Sal is an avid gem and treasure hunter, explorer, writer, and is the owner of http://www.rockhoundstation1.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Sally_Taylor http://EzineArticles.com/?Treasure-Hunting-Begins-Inside&id=106130 bad credit no credit credit cards credit score - meaning bad credit gateway computer 700 credit score |

Anyone in the world By Coco Swan Sexy lingerie. Erotic lingerie. Naughty lingerie. Hot lingerie. Fantasy lingerie.
Black lingerie. Holiday lingerie. The ins and outs to gift wrap your lover. Lingerie comes from the Old French word lingere meaning linen, and is defined as
womens underwear and night clothes. In France lingerie applies to all undergarments for both genders. In the U.S. and England lingerie applies to womens undergarments, solely created to be erotic or visually pleasing, using the like of silk and lace, and does not apply to sensible cotton underclothes. The history of lingerie. The concept of lingerie being visually pleasing is a relatively recent one. The glamorization of lingerie really only started in the 1960s. The concept of sexy lingerie began to develop and by the sexual revolution of the 1970s really took off. Interestingly, the 1960s also saw feminists burning their bras. The feminists were convinced that womens undergarments were created to impose control and order of the fairer sex. In the first half of the 20th Century womens undergarments had 3 purposes: modesty, hygiene, and to alter the female form through the use of corsets, girdles and bras. They were often large, bulky, extremely uncomfortable and often very physically restraining. By the 1950s undergarments were becoming smaller and more form fitting. The Corset. From the 16th to 19th Century various devices were used to squeeze women waists to astonishing measurements of 16-17 inches. Note that Kate Moss, Jennifer Anniston and Heather Locklear all list their waist measurements as 23 inches. The envied hourglass shape was achieved by compressing the body at the middle and literally transferring the flesh from the waist to the breasts and hips. The Girdle. During the 1920s the corset was slowly replaced by the girdle. These were more comfortable and less extreme. The girdle was considered an essential item, both for respectability and modesty. The girdle was designed to give a smoother more appealing line to the womans shape. The bottom of the girdle had fasteners on it to clip onto stockings to keep them up. By the 1960s the girdle was replaced by the panty girdle and then again by control top pantyhose.
The Brassiere. There is some disagreement as to when and who invented the bra. Mary Phelps Jacob held the first patent, Feb 12, 1914, which contained the French word brassiere. Her invention was backless and held in place with straps that wrapped around the body and tied in the front. It was designed to be worn with backless evening gowns, hiding the top of the corset in front. However, earlier, in Jan 10,1876, a patent was lodged by Olivia P.Flynt, claiming to be specially designed as a bust support and improver.
Underpants. Aka undies, smalls, panties (U.S.), knickers (U.K.), bloomers, briefs, gorgeous gussies, and scanties. Until the 1940s the only purpose of the bloomers was to protect and keep the outer garments clean. They were not sexy or attractive and were designed only to be functional. Until the 1950s underpants covered parts of the thigh. When the thigh covering disappeared, the US term of the panty was created. However these were large, baggy, unattractive and white. Think granny panties. Gradually, the panty became more colourful and smaller, with string panties emerging in the 1960s. Panties became an icon of sexuality once manufacturers started to use satin, lace and silk. Modern Lingerie. Nowadays, thankfully for all concerned, lingerie has become a lot easier on the eye. L lingerie has become a favored boudoir pick-me-up. Guys love the visual stimulation and girls love the fact that they can highlight their best attributes and conceal any worries. A true win-win sexual situation. Terminology. Here is a lowdown on all those confusing terms.
Baby doll. A highly eroticized item. A short negligee that normally ends about 6 inches above the knee, although the length can vary. They are often see through and made of nylon, chiffon or silk. Trimmings include fur, lace ruffles, bows, ribbons and spaghetti straps. The baby doll was made popular by the 1956 movie of the same name. Due to its flattering cut, the baby doll is possibly the most popular of the erotic lingerie range. It has the ability to be trashy, naughty, see through, sensual or elegant. A sure-fire winner for him and her. Bodysuit. An all-in-one leotard like garment which has snap fasteners at the crotch. Bodysuits are skintight and give a smooth line. They can also provide shaping support. Stretch lace bodysuits, in either black or skin tone, can be astonishingly seductive as well as practical. Equally suitable for the full figure and the svelte. Bras. Unless you are certain of the size, can be tricky buying for someone else. Many styles, designs and fabrics to select from to showcase a girls most obvious sexual attribute.
Bridal. Traditionally made in cream or white. Bridal lingerie is usually meant to be both elegant and sexy. Wedding lingerie is often made from silk, satin or lace. Bustier. A form-fitting, sleeveless, strapless item that ends at the waist. The primary purpose of the bustier is to push up the bust. Bustiers often lace up, or have fasteners up the front, with the bosoms perched over the top. The bustier is the ideal sexy lingerie for the girl looking for support or to boost the appearance of her breasts. Bustiers can also come in black leather which is perfect for kinky and fetish lingerie. French Maid Outfit. Wildly popular in the fantasy lingerie range. They are usually based on the black and white French maids afternoon uniform of the 19th Century. The typical outfit is very short, trimmed with frilled white lace, and comes with a tiny white apron. The outfit should be short enough to reveal knickers (or not) when she bends over. Feather dusters, maid hair caps and cuffs are all great extras. This naughty lingerie should be worn with black fishnet stockings and black high heels. Perfect for the couple who enjoys a little play-acting. Knickers. Crotch less lingerie, edible knickers, g string, see through, leather and luxury designer panties are all out there to keep the interest up. A flash of these during the evening will stop the television going on! Merry Widow. Also known as a torsolette. This is a short strapless corset with half-cup bra and long garters attached to keep the stockings up. This outfit was made in 1952 for the Merry Widow movie starring Lana Turner. Naughty and Nice. This is a 3-piece outfit containing matching baby doll, knickers and peignoir. Fairly self-explanatory name, I guess. Negligee. The word negligee comes from the French word negliger which means to neglect or overlook. However, I dont think there would be much neglection when she is wearing one of these. In the 1920s the negligee started to copy the slinky single layer evening gowns which were in fashion at that time. The forerunner to sensual and erotic nightwear, negligees are made from sheer or semi-translucent fabrics and adorned with lace and or bows. Negligees are perfect seductive lingerie for all body types including the plus size. Peignoir. A floor length night gown. They are usually made of chiffon and are sheer. Although they are usually sold with matching knickers, they are often worn without. This is the perfect intimate lingerie for the girl who is self conscious about her legs. Stockings and Garter Belts. The ultimate indicator for a guy that this is going to be a hot date! A tantalising glimpse of these and he will be putty in a girls hand. The quick and easy access to the genital area seems to promise sexual spontaneity. The most popular color for the garter belt is red or black. While stockings come in all colors and designs, the two most desirable styles are the back seamed and the fishnet, both in black. Hot sexy lingerie at its most effective. Teddy. A camisole and knickers all in one, usually with snap fasteners at the crotch. These can be tricky to purchase in the correct size due to body length differences. Unless it is made of stretch lace, this is one item that should be tried on before purchasing. Often perceived to be fine or luxury lingerie, especially when made in silk. Where to purchase adult lingerie. In this day and age, there is no need to be embarrassed about being spotted in the adult shop. Most department stores have a range of tame sensual lingerie. Lingerie boutiques have whole racks devoted to sexy lingerie. For the shyer folk, there are lingerie catalogues and numerous online sites where you can peruse to your hearts content. The mail order and website companies normally send your items in plain unmarked boxes. Take the yawn out of your bedchamber! A passion pit is just at the end of the hallway!

Anyone in the world By Michael Russell Depression is not a product of modern times, as is sometimes believed; the condition that goes by the name of depression today was known in the times of Hippocrates as well as the Old Testament and was a cause of worry for the ancient Egyptian medical community as well. In the absence of modern medical techniques, it was described as despondency, or melancholy and was believed to be caused by an imbalance in the so-called 'humors' of the body, which determined the individual's temperament and state of mind. Depression occurs in various forms, the classification depending on the causes, intensity and duration of the condition. The main categories of commonly seen depressive condition are major depression, dysthymic or moderate disorder, unspecified depression and adjustment disorder. However, there is one form of depression that is very different from these conditions - bipolar disorder. This condition is unlike other kinds of depression because it is characterized by abnormal changes in a person's mood, energy levels and functioning pattern. It is also known as manic-depressive illness. While other categories of depression may stem from a variety if causes, bipolar disorder is generally attributed to genetic reasons. This condition often starts in childhood or adolescence and continues through life; hence, it is termed a chronic illness that, like diabetes or cardiac disease, needs long-term management. The symptoms of bipolar disorder are drastic and severe mood swings, from very energetic, optimistic and enthusiastic to inactive, despondent and hopeless. These phases are called alternating episodes of mania and depression. A 'manic' episode is characterized by vigorous mental and physical activity, abnormally elevated mood and energy level, sleeplessness and distractibility. The afflicted person experiences extraordinary feelings of power, capability, euphoria and optimism and indulges in aggressive behavior; in fact, it appears as if the personality of the patient has undergone a change. This episode, which is also known as hypomania, may last for a week, to be succeeded by the 'depression' episode, during which the affected person feels helpless, dejected and worthless and is assailed by feelings of failure and self-doubt. This phase often triggers suicidal tendencies and many patients turn self-destructive. Bipolar disorder obviously imposes a very severe strain on the patient's relationships with family, friends and colleagues; in many cases this manic depression results in loss of education or job, drug abuse, divorce and fractured family relationships. The problem with bipolar disorder is that it takes time to be diagnosed, because people tend to regard these behavioral abnormalities as psychological and temperamental, whereas they are actually manifestations of a biological problem. Any form of depression is caused by physical changes in the brain connected with imbalances in the chemicals called neurotransmitters that carry signals in the brain. Many patients enjoy the manic high episode and refuse to believe that they are suffering from any disorder and consequently refuse treatment. Delayed recognition of the condition is the biggest impediment in the treatment of bipolar disorder. Effective treatment avenues are available for bipolar disorder; a combination of drug therapy and counseling is normally used to address the condition. The most commonly used drug is lithium, taken together with mood stabilizing anticonvulsants such as carbamazepine and valproate; however, the patient needs substantial counseling and family support to cope with the disease. Bipolar disorder is a life-long disease and needs continued therapy to control and prevent the recurrence of the manic depression episodes. In the United States, where about three million people suffer from the disorder, mutual self-help groups sponsored by the National Depressive and Manic Depressive Association (NDMDA) and National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) extend valuable support to patients and their families. Anyone in the world By Gwen Stewart Companion plantings of some kind have been practiced throughout agricultural history. Some of the earliest written documents on gardening discuss these relationships. Early settlers discovered American First Nations people were using an interplanting scheme of corn-bean-squash that balanced the requirements of each crop for light, water, and nutrients. In the 1800s, hemp (cannabis) was often planted around a cabbage field to keep away the white cabbage butterflies in Holland. In many parts of the world today, subsistence farmers and organic gardeners grow two or more crops simultaneously in a given area to achieve a certain benefit. Companion planting is the practice of locating particular plants near one another because they enhance plant growth, discourage pests and diseases, or have some other beneficial effect. When selecting your companion plants consider more than which pests are deterred. Think about what each plant adds or takes away from the soil and what effect the proximity of strong herbs may have on the flavour of your vegetables. Avoid placing two heavy feeders or two shallow rooted plant types near each other. Many gardeners find that they can discourage harmful pests, without losing the beneficial allies, when they use companion planting as an important part of an integrated pest management system. For example, chives or garlic planted between rows of peas or lettuce help control aphids. Marigolds planted throughout the garden discourage many insects. Rosemary, thyme, sage, catmint, hyssop, or mixtures of all three between rows of cabbage helps deter the white cabbage moth. Horseradish planted at the corners of potato patches deters the potato beetle. Garlic planted near roses repels aphids and Nasturtium planted around the garden also deters aphids. As the limitations and ill effects of pesticides, chemical fertilisers, and other modern practices become more apparent, scientists and researchers have begun to look at the old-fashioned method of gardening and farming. Companion planting can combine beauty and purpose to give you an enjoyable, healthy environment. In essence, companion planting allows us to help bring a balanced eco-system to our landscapes, allowing Nature to do its job. Anyone in the world By Amanda Bregman The most successful gardening designs are those that feature exciting and appealing landscapes. These landscapes are usually the output of a laborious task. In general, gardening landscapes must not only be aesthetically pleasing but are likewise practical and suited to the locations natural circumstances. These gardens must henceforth meet all of the needs, wants, and desires of those who maintain and use them. After all, the gardening endeavor should be capable of enhancing or creating moods for those who visit these sites. A home that has a backyard cultivated through gardening actually creates a friendly and comforting atmosphere for those who live within the vicinity. Nothing could compare to a place of solitude in your homes where you could hibernate for a few hours in case you wish to be relieved of the everyday tensions that the outside world heap on you. So what makes up a garden? Of course, there cannot be the absence of plants, grasslands, and of most of all the trees! Yes, every single gardening enthusiast is aware of the fact that the trees are the musts. Why? There are certain purposes of these trees in the garden. They can either be used for varied landscaping styles, be used as a fence that will separate one part of the garden from another, or they could provide you a place for your moments of reflection and escape from the pressures of work and those stress-causing individuals around you. It is a natural inclination for a person to express a certain delight for trees no matter what kind they are. Does it too nice to listen to the sound of the leaves being swayed by the wind? Does it too relaxing to take a short nap under a tree or be on a picnic with your loved ones? The appreciation for the beauty and purpose of the trees in the gardens has been a recognizable fact since time immemorial. And more so, as essential parts of nature, gardening without the inclusion of trees makes it nonetheless a useless task. Your garden can be the most relaxing and pleasurable place that you desired.
As you already know there are a few things that can make this changes effective, particular the plant that you intend using with, and the amount and kind of trees that you will plant. It's important to check everything before you actually plant it.

Anyone in the world By Ladi Lashkari Your first date conversation has a big effect on the impression you make on your date. And as you know, you never get a second chance to make a first impression or create a perfect first date with someone. In addition to making a good impression, your conversation is important also because it helps you learn more about that person by asking questions. After all, you want to see whether you and him/her have enough things in common to go on a second date or not. So what should you talk about? What questions should you ask? How should you keep the conversation going in a fun and relaxing way for both of you? Here are 3 tips for a successful conversation... Tip #1: Ask Good, Fun Questions Questions are a great way to keep the conversation going. They will also help you learn more about this person so you can find out how much you have in common and if you're compatible enough to enter an intimate romantic relationship. Here are 3 great first date questions that will help you keep the conversation going in a fun way, and also will tell you a lot about your date's personality and lifestyle. Also be sure to listen to your date carefully and really pay attention to him/her. Show your date you are curious to know more about him by asking follow-up questions about what he just said. It will also make a very good impression on your date that you are really paying attention to him/her. Tip #2: Keep the Focus on Your Date Be curious about your date. Ask him/her questions and then pay full attention when he/she answers. It will really make a good impression on your date and will make him/her like you, because you showed that you are a thoughtful and polite person who values other people's opinions and lives - not just him/herself. Because you know how rare these kinds of people are who really listen to you when you speak about yourself. I mean really listen. Also by asking questions about them and listening carefully, you get the chance to learn much more about that person and decide if you like him/her and want to start a relationship with him/her. Most people (especially men) keep talking about themselves and things they have accomplished while neglecting her opinions and forgetting to ask about her. They just want to impress their date and show her they are better than the other guys she has dated, but the results will be the opposite. So remember to keep the focus on your date! Tip #3: Keep Your First Date Short and Fun The purpose of a first date is to get to know each other a little and get a general idea of the other person's personality and way of life. So that you can decide if there's enough chemistry and compatibility between you two. If you like this person in the first place, you'll always have time for a second, third, and more dates to get to know them more and more. So don't rush into things. Also avoid talking about risky topics like politics, religion, your or your date's exes, and so on. So make your first date short and simple. Have fun, and enjoy talking to each other and being together. Wish you a lot of success in your next first date! Anyone in the world By Bill Watson Your Guide to Soil Preparation What follows are general rules or guidelines for preparing any garden for planting. Preparing a garden bed before you plant will greatly improve your gardens performance, and promote healthy vigorous growth from any plant you choose. Most often preparing for planting is done in the spring, and involves tilling or turning the ground, and at the same time adding generous amounts of organic material and some type of fertilizer. The goal is to break up and loosen earth that has become compacted over time, and to replenish vital minerals and nutrients. Conditioning, or reconditioning the soil as it is sometimes called, is best done after the winter rains or frost have passed, but before the summer growing season has started. However, soil prep can be performed at any time that the ground is not too wet or frozen to till.
Clay Soil A clay or heavy clay soil, will greatly benefit from the addition of organic material, and its almost impossible to add too much. Clay, because of its particles size and shape, tends to become compacted, and so will drain slowly or not at all. Also, the heavy compact nature of clay tends to prevent air from reaching the roots, which will slow plant growth. Gardening Tip: As water passes down through the earth it draws air (oxygen) behind it. Soils with little or no air tend to become "sour" as oxygen is a necessary ingredient for biological activity. One of the benefits of clay in the garden is it's natural moisture retention properties. By combining a generous amount of organic material with clay, you can off set it's tendency towards compaction, improve drainage, and allow the nature of clay to help maintain moisture in your garden. A good ratio of clay soil to organic material is roughly 50/50.
Sandy Soil Sandy soils are the opposite of clay and generally drain too fast, and so are unable to hold onto any nutrients long enough for a plant to use them. Organic matter helps to hold onto water and nutrients, and as with clay, its almost impossible to add too much. A higher ratio of organic material to sand is a good option, as the organic matter tends to break down faster due to faster drainage (more oxygen). Clay and sand are at the opposite end of the soil type spectrum. Most gardens will be somewhere in the middle. The organic material available to you may depend on what region of the world you live in. However, regardless of soil type, the addition of organic material will greatly improve your gardens performance. Organic material can be peat moss, shredded bark, composted or decomposed plant material, some form of manure (generally cow manure), or even worm casings or rice hulls to name a few. Potting soil is usually some combination of the above list and may have little or no actual dirt in it. Organic material helps to maintain moisture content levels, increases biological activity, and helps to prevent soil compaction. Gardening Tip: When adding organic matter to planting beds or gardens, add at least 2 inches on top of the bed and work in evenly to a depth of 4 to 6 inches. If adding 2 or more inches of organic material would raise your beds higher than youd prefer, youll need to remove some of the existing soil first. Dont worry, your garden will love you for it. Gardening Tip: When preparing for planting always till (loosen) the earth before you add organic matter or fertilizer. Till no less than 4 inches and no more than 12 inches deep.
3 Steps to a Healthier Garden 1. Break up and loosen the soil (using a shovel or spading fork), to a depth of between 6 to 12 inches deep. 2. Level the bed a little, and add 2 or more inches of organic material, then work in evenly (mix) to a depth of about 4 to 6 inches. 3. Again, level the bed a little, then sprinkle or add a granulated-slow release fertilizer of your choice on top and "scratch in" or lightly till to about 1 to 2 inches deep. This method tends to simplify the process of preparing a planting bed, and allows you to save time and energy for other gardening activities. Gardening Tip: All depths listed above are Rule of Thumb measurements. In general all plants respond well to the above system. If most of the plants you'll be growing tend to be shorter (1 to 2 feet high), you won't have to till as deep (about 6 to 8 inches). Taller plants will have deeper root systems, so tilling deeper in that case will be helpful. In general though, tilling deeper than 12 inches is an unnecessary use of time and energy. Gardening Tip: Adding organic material around existing or established plants is not difficult. Till in to about 2 inches deep if close to a plant, and a little deeper if further away. Simply try not to disturb the roots too much, and always water when you're done to settle any roots that may have been disturbed. Good Luck and Happy Gardening!
